About
The firm as a whole.
Strategy, operations, and people, considered together.
Holmvard Strategy is the business advisory practice of Holmvard Group. We advise owners and executives of small and mid-sized businesses, law offices, schools, and professional practices who want a clearer strategy, more efficient operations, and a stronger organization. We examine a firm as a whole, because a question of strategy is rarely only that. It touches finances, operations, people, and technology at once. Before a recommendation is made, we test it against the record and, where it helps, against financial models built for the purpose, so that you can see its likely consequences before you commit. We believe a well-run workplace respects people’s time, judges work on its merit, builds trust, and treats compliance as part of the design rather than a response to enforcement. We hold every engagement in confidence. Our motto, Consilio et Fide, means “by counsel and good faith.”
Our method
How an engagement proceeds.
Inquiry.
Every engagement opens with a period of inquiry. Through interviews, records, and, where useful, staff surveys, we learn how the organization actually works, and we establish the decision at issue, the constraints upon it, and what stands to be gained or lost.Assessment.
We test the question against the full record: financial and operational data, governing documents, the relevant regulatory framework, and, where warranted, models built to compare the options. Where the established instruments are inadequate to the question, we build our own.Counsel.
Our recommendations are delivered in writing, together with the reasoning and evidence on which they rest, so that you can decide with a clear view of what is known, what is uncertain, and what each choice is likely to cost.Stewardship.
Counsel is measured by its execution. We remain engaged through implementation, whether in new policies, in training, or in the systems that carry a decision into practice, and we stay available as circumstances evolve.
